GDSSMPA Visited Consulate General of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka and Canada in Gu

Lin Zeyu, full-time executive vice chairman and secretary-general of GDSSMPA, Huang Gengyan, deputy secretary-general and Isabella Wang visited Consulate General of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka and Canada in Guangzhou on 21st March, 2017.
On the 21st Mach morning, the secretariat visited Consulate General of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka and had a friendly communication with Mrs. Shereen Shanika Dissanayake. Mrs. Dissanayake firstly welcome GDSSMPA’s visiting and Mr. Lin thanks Mrs. Dissanayake’s invitation. Mr. Lin make an introduction of Guangdong stainless steel industry, GDSSMPA’s mainly work and the visiting purpose. “Stainless steel industry cluster in Guangdong. There are many stainless steel production base and professional market.” said Mr. Lin:”For 3 years, GDSSMPA had made a series of work including image building, brand leading, integrity establishing, government linkage, communication promoting, standard making, member serving, rights safeguarding, regional brand creating, etc. ” He added:”We gathered some leading stainless steel enterprises as our member. Besides, our member enterprises cover the complete stainless steel production chain. As good trading and cooperation partner of China, Sri Lanka is an important country along the one belt one road. We hope that Mrs. Dissanayake can recommend GDSSMPA and Guangdong stainless steel industry to your local related organization, chamber of commerce, association and companies. Besides, we sincerely invite them visiting GDSSMPA.” He expressed that we are looking forward to communicate with related institutes and enterprises face to face, discussing to build a long term strategic and friendly cooperation relationship. GDSSMPA will try best to provide meticulous services for this communication and build a platform.
After listening Mr. Lin’s detail introduction, Mrs. Dissanayake said that there are lots of manufactures in Sri Lanka with diversity, which means its need of stainless steel is increasing. She was passionate about building trading bridge between Sri Lanka and China, for example, recently she attended the meeting of CCPIT and she had visited an enterprise in Foshan. Mrs. Dissanayake expressed that she will forward GDSSMPA information to local matching chamber of commerce, associations and enterprises. When mentioned newly policy, Mrs. Dissanayake revealed that in August China will sign FTA with Sri Lanka in Beijing. It will provide greater facilitation to both sides’ enterprises for holding commercial and trading activities. She required GDSSMPA’s helping and services providing for Sri Lanka relevant organization’s visiting to Guangdong in the future. Mr. Lin introduced and invited Mrs. Dissanayake to attend the opening ceremony of the 11st Southern China Stainless Steel Exhibition and visit GDSSMPA at her convenience. Mrs. Dissanayake quickly accepted and said if she would be free that date, she will be very happy to be there. What’s more, Mr. Lin gave Stainless Steel Brand magazine and Running Horse souvenir as a present to Mrs. Dissanayake.
On the 21st Mach afternoon, the secretariat visited Consulate General of Canada in Guangzhou and received a warm reception of Ms. Rita Zhang, the trade commissioner. Mr. Lin firstly introduced Guangdong stainless steel industry and GDSSMPA. Besides, he expressed the willing of cooperate with Canada relevant organization and enterprises. He said that stainless steel industry is a traditional and competitive industry in Guangdong covering Foshan, Guangzhou, Jieyang, Chaozhou, Yangjiang, Zhaoqing, Kaiping, Xinxing, Xinhui, etc. There are a bulk of excellent enterprises in GDSSMPA producing stainless steel decorative pipe, plate, drinking tube and so on, which can provide stainless steel materials, cabinet, products, accessories and decorative project custom for construction and real estate industry in Canada. What’s more, with upgrading and creation, Guangdong stainless steel kitchenware and cookware had already meet the requirement of North America market. “We sincerely hope to promote communication between Canada and China related institutes, enterprises, chamber of commerce and associations. GDSSMPA will provide services and products when needed.” said Mr Lin, “We will highly appreciate if Consulate General of Canada in Guangzhou can build a bridge and propagate GDSSMPA’s information.” Mr. Lin invited Canada related organization and enterprises to the 11st Southern China Stainless Steel Exhibition which held by GDSSMPA in order to have commercial discussion with exhibitors face to face and access to the newest products and equipment.
Ms. Rita Zhang made a brief introduction of the structure and business of Consulate General of Canada in Guangzhou. She expressed that she will forward GDSSMPA’s information to related organization and enterprises. She added members in GDSSMPA are welcomed to a building exhibition focus on Northern American market held in Ontario, Toronto, Canada every year. Moreover, she said they will share information of regularly investment and promotion activities held by Consulate General of Canada in Guangzhou to GDSSMPA. After the meeting, Mr. Lin gave Stainless Steel Brand magazine and Running Horse souvenir as a present to Ms. Rita Zhang.
