Leaded by Mr. Stuart who was from Belgium Headquarter of Glencore visited Chengde Group on June 5, 2015 Friday afternoon. Mr. Stuart was amazed by the speedy development of Chengde in recent years when he had on-the-spot investigation of each production line in production base. They also received warmly reception of He Chao, the CEO of Chengde Group. Besides, they had in-depth discussion on long-term friendly cooperation. 

It is allegedly that Glencore Group is the largest scale manufacturer of Chromium Iron and Chrome Ore around the world. Both sides had established strategic cooperation relationship in the form of long-term agreement since 2013. The reason why Mr. Stuart came to Chengde was to future expand the cooperation scope and scale with Chengde.

Glencore International AG, the commodities trading giant, was established in 1974 with its head office in Baltimore. It is the leading commodities manufacture and distributor. 

There are more than 50 offices in more than 40 countries of Glencore’s Global Market Operation Department with over 2,000 staff there. And over 50,000 staff in its Industrial Operation Department in 15 factories around 13 countries. Besides, its turnover in 2010 was 145 billion dollars. Its total asset was 79.8 billion dollars. The shareholder’s fund on December 31st, 2010 was 19.6 billion dollars. The customers of Glencore were all over the world with broad industry such as automobile, petroleum, electric power and food processing.  

To hold the equity of a variety publicly traded companies including Xstrata PLC---one of the largest mining owned companies, Minara Resources and Katanga Mining and Recylex, Glencore owned 34.5%, 44%, 70.6% and 72.2% and 32.2% respectively.
